Birds of a Feather, Singapore: One Delicious Restaurant in Singapore!

Ahhhhh, one of my favorite, if not my FAVORITE, restaurant that we ate at in Singapore on our honeymoon (sigh, take me back!) was Birds of a Feather! Birds of a Feather is a bit of a swanky sit down restaurant on Amoy Street in the Chinatown neighborhood of Singapore. We walked from the Intercontinental, and it took us close to 45 minutes.

We made a reservation at Birds of a Feather online before we left home, which was necessary and highly recommended, especially on a Friday night, like when we visited. Upon arrival, Birds of a Feather had our reservation and we were promptly seated.

To start, we ordered fancy cocktails! It was our honeymoon, and it was our last real night in Singapore (our flight left at 2 AM Sunday morning)!!

My fancy lychee cocktail.

To begin our meal, Dan ordered some sort of crispy pork – I think they were properly called “Crispy Pork Trotters.” These were similar to chicharrones and quite tasty. Also, very filling. This was the best picture I got, but they tasted much better than this picture looks!

We also ordered this started dish, which, for the life of me, I cannot recall what it was. Too many lychee cocktails! In any case, I do remember it being tasty and it photographed quite well.

Mystery appetizer.

For main courses, Dan ordered the Oriental Bolognese, which consisted of angel hair pasta with a pork ragout and a lot of spice. This dish was quite good and was very filling. However, it was not nearly as good as my Find the Chicken in the Chilies dish!

For my main dish, I ordered what was most certainly one of the most delicious meals of my entire trip – Find the Chicken in the Chilies! Actually, I planned to order something else, which was sold out, and this gem was the recommendation of our waiter. Its apparently their signature dish. Find the Chicken in the Chilies is basically a stir fry of lightly fried chicken mixed in with very spicy chilies. The chicken was amazing and cooked perfectly; I can certainly see why this is a signature dish. I would absolutely 100% order this dish again in Singapore!

We ended our meal with a really delicious cheesecake topped with caramel and a variety of fruits. Definitely not necessary after our large dinner, but very worthwhile!
