Airport Lounge Review: Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge, Athens, Greece

Dan and I visited the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge in Athens International, Hall A, when we flew from Athens, Greece to New York on Delta in July 2025. This post reviews our time in the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge, which we found to be a perfectly serviceable lounge. There was decent space, fast WiFi, and the food was surprisingly decent. That being said, it is worth a stop only if you have extra time before your flight (in other words, don’t arrive early for it).

Arriving at the Athens International Airport.

Before jumping into the post, this post reviews the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge located in the Non-Schengen area (i.e., international flights out of Europe). There is another lounge of the same name located in the Schengen area, which we visited on this trip AND back in 2021. The Non-Schengen location, which is the subject of this post, is nicer than that in the Schengen area. I would also note that we accessed the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge with our Priority Pass, and this lounge looks completely different than the pictures shown on the Priority Pass website…in a good way.

Location of the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge

The Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge is located in Hall A, airside, past security. Once you finish security, proceed through the duty free shops and look for signs for the “Business Lounges”. The Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge is on the second floor of Hall A, in a cluster with the other “business lounges”. It is relatively easy to find but for reference, it is close to Gate A7. Although none of the gates are too far away.

Access to the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge

We accessed the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge with our Priority Pass. According to the signs outside the lounge, Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge accepts a number of these types of cards (Dragon Pass, Lounge Key, etc.). We entered by simply presenting our Priority Pass and boarding passes. I would note that the other Priority Pass lounge in Hall A, the Goldair Handling Lounge, is also located in this “business lounge” area on the second floor. That lounge had a line, a waitlist, and no space to even stand when we visited (people were literally arguing about this), which is why we choose the Skyserv lounge (which had no line). I would love to know if the Goldair Handling lounge is that much nicer, or if it was just much busier because it is the first lounge one sees when arriving in the “lounge area”. Someone tell me, please.

The Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge Space

I would again point out that this lounge looks very different that its pictures on the Priority Pass website. I guess it has been redone. In any case, this lounge is currently designed in a modern theme with zigzagging blue plastic being the main take away. The lounge is divided into two rooms. The first is a large main room with the aforementioned blue plastic theme. This room holds the buffet and offers various seating options, all separated by said blue plastic. This room also has floor to ceiling windows on one side, which overlook some planes and a parking lot. The second room seemed like more of an overflow area, which is where we set up. It is also brighter, and had accessible outlets.

The Food at the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge

I ate before leaving for the airport, expecting not great food choices in the lounges. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the food at the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis lounge and ended up eating a few things. Dan also liked it.  For reference, we visited in the late afternoon, around 2:00 – 4:00 PM.

My selection at the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge.

All food at the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge is served via a self-serve buffet in the main lounge. On offer during my visit was a cold buffet of salad, including a very good Greek salad, some sandwiches, olives, sweets, and a selection of hot food that was replaced pretty regularly. I stuck with the cold food, but Dan tried the meatballs and the orzo pasta. He enjoyed it. Food was replinished almost constantly during our visit.

Turkey meatballs. These tasted a lot better than they look.

Some sweets – the second granola bar type things were very good.

The Drinks at the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge

The drinks at the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge were pretty decent. In terms of beer, a canned Greek beer was available. Red and white Greek wine was also available in both small bottles and large bottles. I found the white to be better than the red, which I almost never do, lol.  There was also a small selection of hard liquor. All drinks, including alcohol, are self-serve.

In terms of non-alcohol drinks, there were two coffee machines and fridges stocked with water bottles, soda, juice, etc. The selection was not bad, but the fridges are small and it took a while for the drinks to get cold. I found going for the hardest ones to reach resulted in the coldest beverages.

Other Amenities at the Skyserv Aristotle Onassis Lounge

Regarding other amenities, lounge WiFi was quite good.  Restrooms are located in the neighboring Swissport Lounge, but you can access them via a connecting door at the front desk. I did not find this to be a problem nor really take any extra effort. Given the location of the lounge, guests can hear regular airport announcements in the lounge (always a nice touch!).

Departure board in the lounge. Guests can also hear airport announcements. I really liked this violet feather decor.

In sum, I would absolutely return to this lounge if flying out of Athens International. That being said, I would not arrive early to visit the lounge, and I am very interested in whether the Goldair lounge is that much nicer or just in a more convenient location.
