Happy 2019 from Rome, Italy: A Few Of My Favorite Photographs Of Gorgeous Roma!

Hello and happy 2019 to all my friends, followers, and readers! I have been a little MIA since Thanksgiving due to the holiday season and trips to Buenos Aires, Uruguay, Santiago, and, most recently to Rome to celebrate the New Year!

I’ll be posting a lot about my recent trips and general travel information, but for now, here are some of my favorite pictures from magical Rome!

STEAL OUR TRIP

We flew from Newark to Rome Fumincino via Norwegian Air and back via United Airlines – both direct – on points. We stayed at the Viconti Meredien on points. Given the Jan. 1 holiday, we only took off 2.5 days of work. Will we be taking a quick trip to southern Europe over future NYE, 100%!!

If you are thinking of doing this, flights can be crazy expensive between Christmas and New Year (its often cheaper to fly back on the 31st of December or the 3rd of January). I recommend booking verrrrry early (we booked in March) to get a good deal.

I’ll be writing more about spending the New Year in Rome in a future blog post. Cheers to a well traveled 2019!

Have you been to Rome? What were your favorite things? Your least favorite things?

  1. We would like to go but it’s a 14+ hour trip due to flight times and connections so hard to do unless it’s part of a longer itinerary. We have seen business class fares through China that are about the same as economy fares going east but that would have to be part of a longer itinerary…maybe one day!

    • We feel the exact about way about Asia! Too far not to combine with a long itinerary! Luckily, Rome is only 8 hours direct for us. Not terrible! Dan & I studied in Rome for a summer in school so it was really exciting to return!
